why have her clean up the milk when you can, at first create robots to
clean up milk for you, then eventually engineer milk that will clean
up itself. That invention will be followed by self-cleaning dirt.

i wouldn't worry my dear. i like the gutter. i was born there. as for
offending me... i've had everything from 'goobs boobs' to being used as a
barstool. only two people on this planet have ever managed to offend me...
and they *know* who they are.

homes are great really. I'm in the middle of running cable from the top
floor into the basement .. OK, i'm typing this while my friend cuts out
the hole for the box that'll be in the upstairs office.

We got lucky running the cable though, found a strait shot from attic to
basement following the piping. then strait down on outside wall without
running into a fireblock. lucky. now we just have to snake it down, pull
it through the box... I'll wire the boxes later. After that the basement
box which should be easier since it'll be an outside the wall box.

well we have 13' 2" for floor to lay by Monday AM. Ten after we close
on the place we have to get the kitchen finished. then there is a
question of getting power and air conditioning into the upstairs goat
pen.

Then I have to drywall or panel the walls in the attic, mount ceiling
fans, install ethernet, get the network up, see how much of a bathroom
I can put in the attic without having to raise the roof... [you'll
understand what i'm talking about as soon as i get the pictures]

sounds like your place is quite nice. [you did say it was a victorian
didn't you?]

Heard from pandora's man. we'll see if i can raise the cash. who knows
maybe i'll bring live one of the domains i bought a while ago.

extremely victorian, right down to the steeple roof, random wall
placement and tight corners .. not to mention the complete lack of
forsight for additional electrical wiring and total lack of space for
something like central air - it's still heated by radiator and somewhere
down the line someone installed an attic fan and cut a hole in the
hallway ceiling for a vent. Which really means that the hallway gets a
nice breeze but the rest of the house doesn't much cool off. Still, it's
a really nice house. And the kitchen has potential as does the back yard.

good luck. I'm thnking I need to bring my web page into a home server to
save money, monthly web space fees suck and it's only 5 bucks a mo. for
a static IP so I can run a mail server out of the home as well.. yay.

And maybe perhaps a g-e replacement should we never hear from a. again.

well as i said, i heard from him and he's where he is until the end of
the summer 'cos 'she's on a project'...

then they may take a tour south and west. i was jokingly warned to be
careful who i invite to visit, that he might show up [quote: 'ask
goobs and james'.] i have a feeling a. might give l.a. a try. [light
bulb above ol' goat hed flicks on: imagine a movie written by a.]

he was o.d.'ing on too much ip traffic and not enough writing time. If
u haven't been reading his blog, go do so. only three posts but
already quite worth it. he writes his life like a movie script.
droplets of blood and wonder. i think he edits the boring parts and
just gives us the good stuff-- which is as it should be... now if he
could give us a plot, he'd be ahead of 99.9999 percent of new
hollywood scripts.

His writing 'unplugged' is doing him wonders. this man is crazy enough
to be a bohemian writer and to be a good one.

unlike me. i have intentionally made my life a boring place. There are
no "little brown bombs" her. if there had been i'd been i'd be a
different person and there would be a whole lot more trouble in my
life than buying a house and sending step-d. off to college.

who knows? maybe i need some time unplugged too...

as for the house... well, i came home last night with badly swollen
knees from doing the things i was doing [fitting sub-floor planks into
place then driving 3" deck screws into them, scraping up old tile
which had been glued with what appears to be roofing tar, cutting
rotted drywall from above the basebore where the sick cabinet
mounts... some how this don't seem to be very CP]... but we'll have a
good floor under the kitchen sink. it will need it, as the new sink is
60 or so pounds of cast iron. the new sink and cabinets would have
fallen through the floor if we had left things alone.

i can see that its going to take a bit of doing to get it where i want
it to be. I'm going to need to add a second breaker panel upstairs to
get power and air conditioning-- a requirement here. if and when the
new dvusMedia center goes on-line, it is going to be interesting.

well i just got a call telling me i need to go back to work on the
floor. i am beginning to think this house has already got me where it
wants me... i'd better go buy knee pads.

Um, I don't think that was a good idea. Owie. Don't we have a
